How long is the salsa class?

Each Salsa class is 60 minutes long. All of our core classes are grouped into 4-Week courses, that means for each Salsa level you would be taking a 60 minute class once a week for 4 consecutive weeks within the same month.

Our Intensive Salsa Beginners course is 5 hours long (with a break included) taking place on select Saturdays per our timetable

What should I wear to salsa classes?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. It’s also a good idea to wear shoes with smooth soles that will allow you to pivot easily on the dance floor. Suede soled dance shoes or jazz shoes are best!

Should I Bring anything else with me?

It is always advisable to bring a deodorant and a mint 🙂 You will be dancing in close proximity to other people, keep yourself feeling fresh throughout the class. Additionally, it’s a good idea to bring another t-shirt / top and a small towel if you tend to sweat a lot while dancing. These simple steps can contribute to a more pleasant and respectful dancing environment for everyone involved.

Do I need to book in advance for salsa classes?

Our our 4-Week Salsa courses can be booked in advance on our website or on the first day of the course at our venue (cash only). Our 1-Day Intensive Salsa Courses need to be booked in advance on our website.

Are there different styles of salsa?

Yes, there are several styles of salsa, including cross-body salsa which includes NY (On2 or Mambo) and LA (On1) styles, Cuban salsa (also known as Casino), as well as Puerto-Rican and Cali styles. Our classes focus on the cross-body styles of salsa

Are there opportunities to practice outside of class?

Definitely! We have a Practice and Social Dancing hour running on Thursdays after classes where our students can mingle across levels outside of class and practice their moves in a relaxed and supportive environment. We periodically organize social dance events, parties and workshops. Plus, there are plenty of salsa clubs and events in London where you can continue honing your skills and meeting new people.

Can I join salsa classes if I have physical limitations or disabilities?

Absolutely! We strive to make our classes inclusive and accessible to everyone. Our instructors are happy to provide modifications and accommodations to suit your needs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any specific requirements.
